Who We Are

Unlike Before Ltd was founded by Deanne Earle in 2004 and is based on the principal that change doesn't have to be difficult. We help our clients alter behaviours, dispelling the perception that all change is bad so it becomes another business-as-usual activity like any other, one that can be positively sustained.

Our practical experience as the connection between Business Strategy, Corporate Objectives and delivery of IT Operations and Projects makes us unique. We are adept at evaluating business unit effectiveness against best practice.  We aim to balance individual performance and productivity against strategic and operational objectives, providing pragmatic solutions for improved day-to-day operational self-sufficiency.

Deanne Earle is:

An expert at initiating, leading and delivering change projects. She helps clients bridge the gap between their projects and organisation, fully empower their employees and accelerate results.

Deanne has a particular skill for finding just where problems lie; she says "problems lurk in the often over-looked space between a project and the organisation. By paying attention to this area it is much easier for clients to meet projected operational efficiencies, empower employees, significantly improve internal services and by default their ROI". Crucially she shows clients how to turn change into a business as usual function.

She does not subscribe to a particular methodology and is rarely satisfied with the status quo. While there are many valuable project and change methodologies available they can be inflexible when strictly followed, which leads to poor results. Deanne seeks to find what works and adds value for each client situation or project. That approach combined with her passion for mentoring others to achieve greatness means she will ask hard questions, confront fixed ideas, provoke discussion and challenge learned behaviours.

As the author of "Ignite the Possibility" she has written a popular eBook packed full of information, tips and tools on how to create the outcomes you want. Her "Assessment Wheel for Effective Change" is a practical tool that allows leaders to graphically assess strength and weakness across various attributes including communication, motivation and accountability.  Deanne has also authored the "10 Tangible Tips for Effective Change" eBook, which has been repeatedly downloaded since it was first published in 2008.

Deanne is the force behind the popular Change Through Action blog; an on-line resource focused on helping companies boost productivity and accelerate leadership ROI. Her ATI Bulletin is read by subscribers across the globe and her articles and insights are regularly published by popular sources of leadership and project management resources.

Hands-on or hands-off Deanne's project-specific services, keynotes, and leadership mentoring program helps clients strengthen and accelerate project delivery.

With a business focus gained over 20+ years Deanne has worked on both sides of the fence: for FMCG companies on large-scale ERP system search, selection and implementations, business analysis and project management; for IT Software and Service providers in interim operational management, consulting, training and project management roles; Software services management and supply including outsourced 24x7 support teams. Prior to leaving New Zealand her roles took her to the US, Singapore, China and Australia.

Now based in North West Italy today's technology allows Deanne to work with clients both on-site and remote wherever they are in the world. She has successfully delivered services via a combination of the two with clients in the UK, Europe, Canada, the US, Mexico, Israel, and on large global IT projects encompassing diverse project teams spread across multiple continents and varying timezones. When other skills or expertise is needed she has access to Technology Integrators, System Architects, Application Developers, and Consultants across the UK, EMEA, and US.
